USA Cycling adds Domestic Elite Teams

USA Cycling today announced a new stepping stone toward professional road racing. The new Domestic Elite level is designed to fit between the local club level and UCI professional level teams. They also modified the NRC point system so that the only athletes able to score points at 2011 NRC races will have to be registered as part of a UCI team or as part of a new Domestic Elite squad.  Interested team have until March 15 to register.
