USA Cycling’s Volunteer Program

USA Cycling’s Volunteer Mechanic Program allows newly licensed mechanics to experience the structure of a team without the stresses of an actual race. Within this program, the mechanic will:

  • work with elite and developing athletes,
  • learn from experienced team mechanics and coaches, and
  • be exposed to cutting edge technology.

Most camps occur at one of the Olympic Training Centers at a controlled pace allowing the volunteers to progress at a rate where they are comfortable. However, this volunteer work will not be easy as the days can be long and exhausting.

Are you ready to gain team experience, make contacts from the racing world and possible receive a regular gig with the US National Team? If so, contact USA Cycling’s Operations Manager, James Stanfill, at (719) 434-4228 or by email at jstanfill@usacycling.org.
