Fit as hell?

Most athletes (riders) are just starting their winter preparation. They just got off their winter break from a hard season. My fitness/season is just the opposite as I’m basically unable to ride during the season. Since my return to the US in the middle of September, I’ve been able to pile in some good miles and work off the mechanics “BELT” I have been carrying around. For how little I ride I feel fairly fit. I used to ride quite a bit in the past. As much as 14,000 to 15,000 miles a year. This year, I think I’m up to about 3,000 miles since January 1st. Paltry in comparison. But nonetheless, I’m feeling fit. Thanksgiving weekend I racked up over 200 miles and a hell of a lot of climbing. That weekend hurt but now that I’ve had a few days off, I’m feeling good and can’t wait to get back to the bike and (try) to rip the legs off my buddies on our area River Ride. The River Ride is super fast for mortals like me.
