ProMechanics only ships products that have been specifically ordered and only ships products in perfectly new condition. We do not substitute goods without your specific knowledge and consent, thus the goods you receive will be the products you ordered. With that in mind ProMechanics only accepts returns due to one of the following conditions:
1) warranties and
2) mistakes on our part.
ProMechanics needs to be notified within 10 days of receipt of goods of products that were incorrectly shipped. Shipments held longer than 10 days are considered to be acceptable and accurate and no return authorization number will be provided.
Returned goods will only be accepted in their original unused condition and with original unmarred packaging. ProMechanics will return the correct goods, cover shipping to the customer and provide a refund for the return
All warranty goods must be called in as any normal return and must then be inspected to insure if the product can be covered under the manufacturers warranty policy. If the goods are determined to be defective the product will be replaced with the same product or repaired, based on the warranty policy of the manufacturer. Determination of a defect or warranty cannot be made without inspecting the goods. All goods are warranted by the manufacturer
at their discretion.
Products damaged as a result of improper installation, improper use or normal ‘wear and tear’ will not be accepted as warrantied goods.
Damage in Shipping
If a package arrives damaged, a report must be made upon receipt of the package with the delivery person. This claim needs to be followed up immediately with the shipping agency. Claims for goods damaged in shipping are paid
by the shipping agency, NOT ProMechanics.
Special Orders, Sales and Kit Items
All goods purchased on sale are final as are special orders. No returns will be accepted on sale products or special orders for any reason. Special order products are those that are available from ProMechanics suppliers
yet were not included in our shopping cart at the time the order was placed.
Likewise we will not accept returns on products from kits that are returned to us without the rest of the kit. For example, returned pallet sets and repair kits must include the whole pallet set or repair kit.
All returns need to have a Return Authority Number (RA#) issued to be accepted. Returns received by us without a Return Authority Number will be refused. Use the form at the bottom of this page to obtain a RA#.
Customers are responsible for shipping fees to ProMechanics. We do not cover this unless a mistake was made on our part, in which case a refund will be provided for the return shipping fees. We suggest shipping the return via USPS Priority Mail or UPS and insuring the package. ProMechanics is not responsible for returned packages lost in transit to ProMechanics.
Incorrectly returned goods, sales items, special orders or kit items will be returned to the customer and the customer will be billed for shipping the return package.
ProMechanics will only provide refunds on return shipping fees (up to $15.00US) for orders where we made errors. Refunds will not be provided for goods the customer ordered in error nor for special ordered goods,
sales products, or damage caused by the shipping agency.
Refunds will not be provided for lost orders confirmed to be received by the shipping agency. The shipping agency will take care of these fees and replacement goods will be shipped.
Please note that this policy may be modified from time to time. We will provide notices of changes on this page and any such changes will be prospective, not retroactive.
